- Certificate Revocation List (CRL) Services
The RCAI is responsible for generating and publishing CRLs pertaining to certificates issued to Licensed CAs. Office of CCA updates the CRL within one working day after receiving a valid revocation request and at least once every month, even if no changes are required. CCA provides CA certificate status checking through publication of the CRL on web site, cca.gov.in. In case of CA key compromise the concerned CA must inform the CCA immediately for revocation of the CA certificate.
- Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Service
The OCSP service established by RCAI, can be used in lieu of or as a supplement to checking against a periodic CRL. As a part of trust chain validation, application can use OCSP service for ascertaining the status of CA certificates issued by RCAI. The services are available at http://ocvs.gov.in.
